| - In February of 2010, Darla Dearborn enchanted a Pidge to make it look like an obol. She later trade the obol to Alexandra Quick in exchange for information on Quick's trip to the Lands Below. Quick took the obol with her to the Lands Beyond and offered to trade it to Death in exchange for her brother's life, but Death revealed that the coin was not an obol at all. After showing the coin's true nature to Quick, Death converted the Pidge into a Deathly token. He explained that Maximilian would be returned to the Lands Above when Quick gave the token to someone else; that person would die, completing the transaction by trading "a life for a life." Upon returning to the Lands Above herself, Quick very nearly gave the token back to Dearborn, but changed her mind. Quick then discovered that Dearborn had intended for Quick to die in the Lands Beyond, thereby converting the Pidge into a Deathly token in the same way that Maximilian's death converted Alex's locket into such a token. Not long after, Quick descended back to the Lands Below to prevent Darla from sacrificing Innocence Pritchard to the Lands Beyond, and closed off the portal in the Gift-Place by hurling the Deathly token through void.
