Neverwinter Nights: Resurrection opened for private beta testing on July 19, 2002, and officially opened for public play on October 25, 2002. NWN:R is a highly ranked NW Vault Hall of Fame gameworld. The setting for NWN:R is the Savage North region of the Forgotten Realms. Neverwinter is the main city area in the game. Other major towns in the game include Longsaddle, Triboar, and Port Llast. The game also features extensive widerness areas, particularly the Neverwinter Woods and the Kryptgarden Forest. With over 500 areas to adventure in, there is plenty to keep players busy. NWN:R features a unique Guild system that includes Guild symbols which can be applied to clothing, armor, and shields in-game. It also features an easy-to-use trade skill system that does not rely on conversational options to choose the item being crafted. A large number of custom spells have been created for the game by Syrus Greycloak, a long-time member of the game staff. Neverwinter Nights: Resurrection is currently in an extended open house, and no password is required to play. The game's login server is listed on GameSpy in the PW Action category, as NWN_Resurrection. Players are required to accept the Neverwinter Consortium Terms of Use to enter the game. It is also requested that players register on the NWC Forum.
