File:1988 AFD5 profile.png The AFD5SP has a mahogany body with a three piece bubinga and quilted maple top bolted to a mahogany and maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA humbucking pickups, an HQ synchronized tremolo bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines. The AFD5 is a similar model with a solid quilted maple top. The AFD5CT is a similar model with a set-in neck with Tree of Life fretboard inlay. The AFD25 is a related model with similar components but a different body shape. The AFD5SP was produced only in 1988.
