| - Luke Skywalker is a male Human Jedi Master and son of Anakin Skywalker, who later becomes Darth Vader. His destiny was already set in stone before he was born, being the son of a Senator and a fallen Jedi Knight and the one to fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen One that his father could not. Luke Skywalker was born along his twin sister Leia in 19 BBY just after the transition of the Galactic Republic into the first Galactic Empire as the son of Senator Padme Amidala and the fallen Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. With his mother dieing at child birth, Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda decided to seperate the twins to give them a bigger chance of survival. Obi-Wan Kenobi would take Luke to Tatooine, to have him raised by family and watch over him, while Leia was taken to Alderaan by Bail Organa. Nineteen years later coincidence would have it that Owen Lars, Luke's uncle, would buy the droids that once served his father, R2-D2 and C-3PO. After cleaning R2, he would find a recording of a princess, which was unbeknownst to him his twin sister Leia, asking for Obi-Wan's help. Trying to figure out who Leia might mean, he believes it might be Ben Kenobi, who indeed turns out to be Obi-Wan. He is forced to go after R2 who disappears to find Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan saves Luke from the Sand People and is shown the holo recording. Obi-Wan realizes the danger both Luke and Leia may be in and decides to go to Anchorhead to find a shuttle of the planet. First refusing to come with him, Luke returns home to find his aunt and uncle killed by Imperial Stormtroopers. He goes with Obi-Wan to Anchorhead and hatches a ride with Han Solo there to get off the planet. Barely escaping the Imperial forces, they jump to lightspeed to Alderaan. Arriving there they find only asteroids and whats left of Alderaan after its destruction by the Death Star. They are drawn towards a moon-like space station, the Death Star, where they are forced to disable the Tractor Beam to get out again. Luke frees the princess together with Chewbacca and Han Solo and witnesses how Obi-Wan battles Darth Vader to allow them to escape and loses. Going to Yavin 4, Luke joins the strike force that will intercept the Death Star before it will destroy Yavin 4. He has an argument with Han first before recieving a good luck kiss from Leia. In the end, after being chased by Darth Vader personally in space, Luke manages to fire a proton torpedo into the hatch, destroying the Death Star and due to timely intervention by Han Solo, manages to leave the battle unscratched. Three years later, Luke would be stationed on Hoth together with Han and Leia, when Imperial probe droids would discover the Rebel base there and Darth Vader would send his personal fleet, Death Squadron, to capture the base and the one he holds responsible for the destruction of the Death Star. With the full scale assault going, Luke and his fellow defenders pilot their Snowspeeders against the AT-AT, but Luke would be shot down. His friends, Han and Leia had made it off planet with the rest of the Rebel Alliance troops, but through a vision he was told by Obi-Wan to go to the Dagobah system where he would learn in the ways of the Force by Yoda. Instead of catching up with the rest of the Rebel fleet, he indeed travels to Dagobah where, after a rocky start, he would meet and begin training in the Force by the ancient Jedi Master. During his training he became attracted to a cave on Dagobah, where Yoda warns him for. He nevertheless travels into the cave, where he is met by Darth Vader. Engaging him in a lightsaber fight, he manages to demask Darth Vader, but instead finding his own face hidden behind the mask. The shocking vision buried in his mind, Luke returns to Yoda where he continues to train, only to recieve a strong vibration in the Force where he sees how Han, Leia and Chewbacca fall prey to the Dark Lord and the Empire. He tells Yoda how he must return to his friends to save them and rushes off, despite warnings from Yoda and the spirit of Obi-Wan. Arriving on Bespin, he is to late to prevent Boba Fett from departing with Han Solo, frozen in carbonite but does engage Darth Vader in a lightsaber duel, ending up on the ramp of one of the installations of Bespin. Here Darth Vader reveals the shocking truth to Luke, that he is Luke's father, which Luke refuses to believe. Instead of joining Vader, Luke drops down and loses one of the hands by one of Vader's lightsaber cuts. He is being picked up by Lando, Chewbacca and Leia before leaving Bespin. While testing out his new hand, Lando and Chewbacca promise to track down Boba Fett and Han for him.
