The Ni'Var was a Vulcan Suurok-class combat cruiser that was in service with the Vulcan High Command in the mid-22nd century. The vessel was commanded by Sopek. In 2151, the Vulcan High Command sent the Ni'Var to transfer Sub-Commander T'Pol off Enterprise NX-01 and back to Vulcan. This was due to her role in the destruction of the sacred Vulcan monastery of P'Jem. However the ship never completed the transfer as in the meantime T'Pol and Jonathan Archer were captured on Coridan; the Ni'Var sent a commando squad to the planet for their rescue, during which T'Pol was injured saving the life of Sopek. As a result, the chief medical officer of the Enterprise, Doctor Phlox, prohibited her transfer until her recovery, while Sopek was persuaded to ask for leniency for her before the High Command

(ENT episode: "Shadows of P'Jem") In 2160, Captain Sopek negotiated the Treaty of Alpha Trianguli that ended the Earth-Romulan War in 2160. (TOS - Rihannsu novel: The Romulan Way, ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: Vulcan) In 2161, the Ni'Var, being the closest ship, was dispatched by Admiral Sean Collins to investigate the sudden loss of the NX-class Intrepid. Other than the corpses of Roland Brazzi, Georges Toussaint, Anna Byelev and Yukio Kawazana, and parts of the hull, the crew of the Ni'Var were unable to find the cause of the Intrepid's disappearance or why there was a lack of other debris. (TNG novel: Indistinguishable from Magic) At some point after July 2187, the Ni'Var was decommissioned. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: Vulcan) By July 2387, the Ni'Var was the most prominent item of the B-jinglan Air and Space Museum boneyard. The Ni'Var was suspended in the same drydock it had been constructed in. Force field generators prevented the ship from succumbing to the planet's gravity.
