| - The moonlight descended on the green horizon of one of Kanto's most prideful cities as trainers and their Pokémon began to take abode in their homes. It was well past the hour where casual trainers would be out and about, which meant the city's nightlife was beginning to take form with the most elite of trainers finding their ways around the cityscape. Deep within the heart of the city was the Pokémon gym, a massive orange mansion-style building that housed more secrets than the average trainer expected. To most people it was nothing more than a Pokémon gym where trainers could go to earn a Pokémon League official gym badge, but there was something inside that didn't ever escape into plain eyesight. Beneath the walls of the gym lay a massive laboratory in which a shady organization ran its business of stealing and manipulating Pokémon for their own personal gains. In an executive office in the lab, a man sat in a black mafia suit with a dark red 'R' patched on it briefing through files on his computer, carefully slicking back his gelled hair. The wrinkles on his face only gave a glimpse of what he had truly been through. There was a soft purr next to him as he ran one hand up and down the head of the precious cat Pokémon - a Persian - that approached him. "Boss!" the man heard being called from the other side of his shut door, accompanied by the soft tapping of a fist knocking on the door. "Come in," the man replied with a deep, powerful voice, not taking his eyes off the files he was looking at. "Boss Giovanni sir," a man in a black suit with an identical giant 'R" on the front walked into the room. He quickly adjusted his hat in his boss's presence. "Some of the other grunts and I were wondering if we could head undercover to Saffron City and see what the Silph Co. were up to." "I've actually been meaning to get something done down there," Giovanni replied, his eyes finally meeting that of his grunt's. "These files I was just looking at outline basically what the Silph Co. has been targeting at for the past few years. And it's quite shocking, to be honest." "What is it, boss?" "I can't speak to anybody other than the admins about it now for business reasons, but let's say that if we can get our hands on the technology, we will rule the world." "I look forward to what we have in store then, boss," the grunt bowed and then stood up straight. "One more thing..." Giovanni said after a moment of thought. "Tell all the other grunts that starting tomorrow, Team Rocket will be going public." "You... you mean it's time?" The grunt asked with shocked excitement. "Aye..." Giovanni nodded with a smirk. "It's time to put our plans into action." "Oh boy, Kanto will never know what hit them!" "Gather everybody within the next hour, I'll see to the entire organization that our plans are communicated fully." "Will do, boss," the grunt nodded and bowed again before backing out of the door. "I'll have everybody together in no time." "See that you do," Giovanni replied as he watched the door shut in front of him. He reclined in his chair and petted his precious Persian again with a wide smirk. "Persian, tomorrow we begin our take over of the Kanto. How does that sound?" Persian purred happily as its trainer showered it with attention. "That's what I thought, precious," Giovanni laughed to himself as he fantasized about the future - his future. "It can only get better from here, correct?" He sat in front of his computer as he looked over the documents that were hacked from the Silph Co. The blueprints of a PokéBall with a purple top and a white 'M' on it took up a majority of his screen as he started at it with wild eyes. "The Master Ball..." he mumbled to himself. "The only PokéBall ever invented with a 100% catch rate. With this tool, Kanto will bow to us on their knees." Giovanni's plans to completely overtake the Kanto region were finally falling into place. He could feel it so close that it was almost within a hair's length away from him. With one move, he would have the entire region under his grasp, willing to do his bidding. It was time.
