The R.D. Murray Company was a Hamburg, New York fire apparatus manufacturer founded by Ronald D. Murray in 1973. The initially company made its mark refurbishing fire apparatus and moved into the manufacture of complete fire apparatus in the early 1990s. In 1998, R.D. Murray was purchased by American LaFrance and built pumper and rescue bodies. The plant was closed in 2008 or 2009 as ALF ran into financial difficulty. A former owner purchased the plant and entered into an agreement with E-One Inc. and now builds stainless-steel bodies for the Florida manufacturer.
