He resides, along with the rest of the Mort Myre order, in the basement of Burgh De Rott's dilapidated inn. Polmafi assists in carrying out an assassination attempt on Drakan, which fails. He is later freed by the player and assists the group in solving the various vampiric seals found throughout Castle Drakan. When the remaining survivors fight Drakan himself, he assists them by calibrating the tower's machines to reopen the portal to bring them back to Gielinor. He escapes along with the player, Safalaan, Ivan and Veliaf, but is knocked back into Vampyrium when Drakan bursts from the portal. His fate thereafter is unknown. In In Memory of the Myreque, a statue is built in his honour and he is presumed to be dead. It is revealed that before joining the Myreque, Polmafi was foremost a scholar and historian. A hallucination of his severed head appears in River of Blood, alongside the other deceased or missing members of the Myreque. The hallucination claims to be the "new Lord of Vampyrium", and that he will go hunting next week.
