- Communications Officer Fen, also known as Officer Fen, Captain Fen or simply Fen was a Clone officer who served as head of communications on the Phantom, a Venator-class cruiser under the leadership of Jedi Master Jeden Vesal and his second-in-command, Admiral Anhal. A powerhouse of work, Fen had a sense of determination to a point of severity which few Clones had, a trait that Anhal liked. According to the Sorting Hat's song in 1994, Salazar Slytherin came from fen, suggesting that he was most likely from this area. Then again, Ireland is also known for several fen-land areas; therefore, some have suggested Slytherin might be from Ireland, as that would represent all four kingoms Hogwarts students come from.
- Fen is a biome with swampy flowers, trees and mud, with muddy pools and mainly 3x3x8 or higher trees. It has Dying trees, and dying oak trees. Slimes can also be found above ground in the Fen.
- Takiko and Tomite stumble upon her home hidden in the woods, specifically the ruins of a temple. She acts as a gracious host after discovering who her two guests really are. At first she gives them a place to stay. She poisons Tomite, and tries to convince Hatsui to kill Takiko. Showing her true colours wasn't a very smooth move on her part. Tomite was still able to fight her, and because Takiko understood Hatsui, he trusted the priestess over Fen. She was killed by Hagas, to prevent her from telling anything she shouldn't. Her death upset Hatsui even after he knew she'd only been trying to kill him.
- The plural, genderless form of "fan". This is fan jargon, formed by a tongue-in-cheek analogy to the pluralization of "man" as "men". For when 'Fans' just won't cut it. Certain aspects of fandom, especially early SF fandom, preferred this term to "fans," hoping to distinguish from, for example, sports fans. - The Fen were a barely sentient race of large jellyfish-like creatures that inhabit certain areas of hyperspace. Rarely encountered near the well travelled tachyon beacon routes, they are known to the techno-mages and are considered to be relatively harmless. Though there is no known instance of a Fen ever consuming a Starship, they are attracted to shiny objects. Though the Fen are non-threatening, it is theorized that based on an ocean model, dangerous predators of the Fen should logically have evolved as well, and may be lurking in the farther depths of hyperspace.
