| - Iron Bars serve a similar purpose to Glass Panes, except they are tougher and are made with Iron Ingots instead of Glass. They are crafted with six Iron Ingots, which makes 16 bars. Iron Bars are mostly found in villages near the lava sink in the blacksmith's shop.
- Iron Bars are decorative Blocks that were added in 0.8.0. They snap together like Glass Panes, and are mostly used as a Decoration, while sometimes used to lock Mobs out or in.
- Iron Bars were added in the 1.8 "Adventure" update. They are a type of block that seems to occur naturally in Strongholds, Villages, and The End. They serve a similar purpose to fences. The iron bars can be placed in much the same way as fences, Glass Panes, Cobblestone Wall and Mossy Cobblestone Wall. Unlike fences and Cobblestone walls, a wall constructed with just one of these bars without any more blocks placed above can be jumped over, since it only registers as 1 block in height.
- Iron bars are a dungeon feature represented by #. They are never randomly generated, save in sporkhack, where they might replace doorways. There are iron bars in the Wizard, Tourist, and Ranger quests. You cannot walk through them, and objects thrown through them have a chance of being stopped by the iron bars. Many creatures can pass through them, including xorns, snakes, and yellow and black lights.
- Iron Bars are - as shown on the images to the right - building-elements very similar to fences that will change their shape according on their neighbouring blocks. They can be crafted in your Crafting Menu (default key "Q") or at Crafting Tables (that still exist in worlds created before R22 on September 16th 2015), but only after the crafting-recipe has been unlocked upon taking/crafting an Iron Bar for the first time, that can be smelted from Iron Ore in a Forge. To craft 8 Iron Bars at a time, you'll need (as of R29 in February 2016):
