Donald Ralph "Big Mac" MacSweyn (September 8, 1942 – May 21, 1995) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played five seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers. He also played two seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Los Angeles Sharks and Vancouver Blazers. MacSweyn played for the senior Lancaster Dodgers in 1963-64 and then turned pro with the Johnstown Jets in 1964-65. His rights went to the Philadelphia Flyers when they purchased the Quebec Aces.

  • Donald Ralph "Big Mac" MacSweyn (September 8, 1942 – May 21, 1995) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played five seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers. He also played two seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Los Angeles Sharks and Vancouver Blazers. MacSweyn played for the senior Lancaster Dodgers in 1963-64 and then turned pro with the Johnstown Jets in 1964-65. His rights went to the Philadelphia Flyers when they purchased the Quebec Aces. From 1967 to 1972 MacSweyn was a part-time defenceman for the Flyers, getting into 47 games and making the American Hockey League all-star team twice. With the Flyers he scored 5 assists. In 1972-73 he jumped to the Los Angeles Sharks of the World Hockey Association (WHA). In the middle of the follwoing season he was traded to the Vancouver Blazers. In the WHA he appeared in 147 games and scored 2 goals and 44 assists. After 1974 he played three seasons of minor pro and then one season with the intermediate Embrun Panthers in 1977-78 before retiring.
