- The Dragon Queen (Mary Louise Dobbs, though she has used several aliases including Melusine DesRais, Martine Dubois, and Melody Levescue) is a minor magical supervillainess who works the same sort of 'witch cult' racket as The Witch Queen, but has been far less successful at either gaining converts or avoiding arrest. The primary source of her power is unknown (the most likely scenarios being either an Origin, or having been Imbued by a dragon spirit), but she has a number of magical abilities, most notably illusion-casting and manifesting energy manifestations that take various draconic forms. She usually supplements these powers with a number of power objects, most notably a power gem (or at least a crystal that served as a power focus), which was destroyed when she was defeated by Swordswoman and Shieldmaiden. She has two primary associates, Lord Balefire and The Warlock Knight, and has on-and-off romantic (or at least sexual) relationships with both of them. She tries to use their mutual jealousy to manipulate them, but they return the favor by sabotaging her plans to try to make her dependent on them. In 2005-06, she was arrested and sentenced to a prison term in The Jug, but was broken out by the Warlock Knight and Lord Balefire in late 2015 before her term was finished. After her escape, she began a Great Quest to rebuild her coven and restore her power by creating a new power gem/focus. This brought her into conflict with The Witch Queen, and eventuated Dragonblade's power manifestation.
