  • Batman is an American Academy Award-winning superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and was released a month after Batman's 50th anniversary of his comic debut. It is the first entry of the Batman film franchise, directed by Tim Burton and the first to star Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman. It also starred Jack Nicholson as The Joker.
