The EX240 features a jelutong body bolted to a one-piece maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with triangle position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a humbucker in the bridge position and single coils at the neck and middle positions and a single locking tremolo bridge. It was one of only a small handful of models which employed the short-lived Edge II tremolo. The EX360 is a similar model with a double locking tremolo. The EX240 was produced for only one year and sold only in Europe.
