Most of his starts came in 1957 and 1958, when DeZalia earned all twelve of his top-ten efforts occured. He placed 19th in points in 1957 and 15th in 1958, along with a career-best 6th place effort at Jacksonville in 1957. Following an 18th place effort at Fayetteville in the 1959 season opener, DeZalia never competed in another NASCAR event.
