Kevin's murder was linked to Richard D'Antonio, a disgruntled former employee. Hughes found out that D'Antonio had been accepting money to place artists on the Cashbox music chart list. Authorities said D'Antonio killed Hughes to keep him quiet. D'Antonio was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison, not eligible for parole until 2036.
