Grand hunts were annual celebrations on Diumperial. During a grand hunt, the nearby Diumperial would gather at a certain village and wait until nightfall. At nightfall, the Diumperial men would set out and try to slay as many dangerous or not dangerous creatures as they could. Dangerous and rarer creatures were worth more sentimentally. The man who killed the creatures with the highest total sentimental value won the highest honor of the tribes participating in the hunt. The lower spoils were cooked and eaten by the participating Diumperial and their families, and higher-ranking creatures were taken home as souvenirs. The greatest of the grand hunts was the Great Grand Hunt, which was held at the great village of Paxcallis.
