Lately, Srav leader Jasef Yuiln's health had been deteriorating further, and with the entry of the United Coalition of Worlds, a fresh faction as opposed to the battered and war-weary Sravs and Necasians, his stress was further increasing. Ivran Gresev had also taken note of this, and he finally decided that Yuiln was no longer fit for leadership, and that removing him would be for the good of the Srav Federation. This decision was also based on resentment for Yuiln's vetoing and disapproval of many of Gresev's heavy-handed decisions.

| - Lately, Srav leader Jasef Yuiln's health had been deteriorating further, and with the entry of the United Coalition of Worlds, a fresh faction as opposed to the battered and war-weary Sravs and Necasians, his stress was further increasing. Gresev began gathering those selected for their loyalty to him. He also decided he needed the support of the Crimson Elite Guard, the presidential Srav guard. Uri Rashki, chief of the guard, agreed to join in the coup, but only after much cajoling and the fact that his family was held hostage. With that, Gresev began to move his forces into position in the Srav capital of Yuilnokrad, and with heavy military security there anyway this was not noticed. Gresev saw to it that a fictional bomb scare around the central part of the city was created, forcing many civilians and Red Militia to move out, but made sure it did not reach the Politikdel. Once he was satisfied that all was in order, he gave the command to move in.
