Some countries are even guaranteed to be attacked by their long fought enemies, one example is North and South Korea who constantly breaches each others borders no matter what you do. For those time it's good to be prepared to retaliate.

Zadaniem graczy jest przejmować pola i budować na nich stacje oznaczone własnym kolorem. Budowa jest możliwa tylko na polach połączonych z już postawionymi stacjami. Dodatkiem wyróżniającym Warfare od swojego poprzednika z UT2004 jest obecność na mapach stacji kul energetycznych (Orb). Po każdej rundzie wygrana drużyna dostaje dwa punkty, jeśli zwyciężyła przed czasem lub jeden punkt za wygraną po czasie.
