Synopsis
| - Superman rejects the authority of the The Tribunal, taking off with his friends who had come to rescue him. Tribunal Prime takes over the The Cyborg's mind and then gives chase to Superman, who is already leading Supergirl and Superboy back to rescue Mope, while Alpha Centurion and Steel head for the Pax Romana. The Cyborg blasts Superman from the sky, followed by Superboy. Supergirl turns invisible and follows the heroes back into the Tribunal's clutches. Superman's sentence is to be rocketed into the Kryptonite debris of his homeworld. Supergirl reveals herself, but the Cyborg/Tribunal Prime is able to keep her distracted long enough for the sentence to begin.
Alpha Centaurion pilots the Pax Romana in pursuit of the rocket, noting that they have been passed by a high-speed object. The UFO is Superman, whose place on the doomed rocket was taken by the loyal Mope.
The explosive on the rocket is remotely triggered by the Tribunal before anyone can attempt a rescue. The Tribunal believes their sentence to be at last carried out in full.
