A tunnel-tube was an element of a tunnel-tube junction station. There where four tubes to a station. They consisted of a pleated skin over a servoframe, and extended from the junction station. The tubes contained a hatch-mounted mouth which could dock with other junction stations, starships, or building hatches. Each tube had an airtight iris-hatch at its end. Tunnel-tubes also had viewports mounted in their sides.
