- Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (ルイージのマンションダークムーン, Ruīji no manshondākumūn) (ルイージマンション2 Ruīji Manshon Tsū, Luigi Mansion 2) known in Europe and Austrailia as Luigi's Mansion 2, is a game for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the sequel to Luigi's Mansion. This game has five mansions and has an upgrade of the Poltergust 3000, the Poltergust 5000 along with the item itself. It was released on March 24, 2013 for the 3DS. In this game, King Boo returns and has shattered the Dark Moon into pieces turning all of the ghosts of Evershade Valley into hostile beings. It is up to Luigi to recover all of the missing Dark Moon pieces. Later on, they reveal that King Boo has captured Mario again in the same way as before.

- Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, in other regions known as Luigi Mansion 2, is a game for the Nintendo 3DS by Nintendo. Originally revealed under the title "Luigi's Mansion 2" at Nintendo's 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Press Conference, this game serves as the successor to the Nintendo GameCube launch title Luigi's Mansion. It is widely believed that the Nintendo 3DS was chosen for this sequel because the Nintendo GameCube was originally planned to be a 3D-enabled console, thus would've resulted in Luigi's Mansion being 3D. It is the third Mario game to only star Luigi. The first being Mario is Missing! and the second being Luigi's Mansion.

(Elvin) Gadd is in his lab, researching ghosts, with some help from some friendly Greenies, when suddenly the Dark Moon is shattered by King Boo, who scatters the pieces over Evershade Valley. This means the once friendly now became aggressive. It is revealed afterwards, during the credits, that Gadd went back to his research on the Ghosts of the Evershade Valley with Luigi joining him for sometime before returning home with the Polterpup. It is shown that Luigi spends a large amount of time with the Ghosts now that the Dark Moon is restored.
