A Training Bow is one of the three default weapons supplied to players upon first logging into Darkscape. It is identical in function and appearance to the Chargebow, and like the chargebow supplies unlimited arrows. Its magic and melee counterparts are the Training Staff of Air and Training Sword, respectively. This item is always kept on death, however it cannot be replaced if you destroy it. Additionally, the training weapons do not count toward the number of items kept on death, e.g., a member with the protect item prayer activated would keep four items upon death, in addition to the training bow, staff, and sword.Unlike the Training Bow in RuneScape 3 and Old School RuneScape, this training bow does not require arrows to use.

- Training arrows are the only arrows that can be used with this bow. These were also available from Beefy Bill for eight gold a piece, but they too have been discontinued. A training bow has the same stats as a normal shortbow or longbow. It is recommended to use the regular Shortbow or Longbow, for the use of iron arrows. The training bow was removed with the release of Unstable Foundations, the new tutorial, on 17 September 2009, but was re-released on 7 October of the same year.

This bow was a good option for newer players because both it and the training arrows that it used were free. The ranged combat tutor gave any player a free set consisting of 30 training arrows and a training bow. However, once a set of training bow and arrows had been acquired, the player would have to wait at least 30 minutes before the tutor would give him/her another set. When the 30 minutes have expired, the tutor could have given the player more arrows, but she would only give out another bow if the previous one was lost or destroyed. Some players took advantage of this and would drop one bow then ask for another so that they could get two and keep one in their bank in case they died. The training bow was removed with the release of Unstable Foundations, the new tutorial, on 17 September 2009, but was re-released on 7 October of the same year.
