The 88th fought in countless battles during the Clone Wars, and created a headquarters on the world Commenor. During Order 66, they killed their Jedi General, a Jedi Master named Qorl Li. They helped hunt other Jedi during the following Great Jedi Purge, and engaged the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the Galactic Civil War. The Rebel Army admitted in their records that the 88th were some of the best opponents they faced during the War. After the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader over Endor, the unit defended Grand Vizier Sate Pestage and the Imperial Intelligence director Ysanne Isard. When the Emperor returned in a clone body, the 88th declared allegiance to him and carried out his will in the Inner Rim Territories and the Mid Rim. After his final death, they worked for Admiral Pelleon's Imperial Remnant. Years later, they fought for Fel Empire during the Second Imperial Civil War against Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. Following his defeat, the 88th joined the Galactic Federation Triumvirate. The 88th maintained pride in being an all-Jango Fett clone unit following the Clone Wars, and specifically requested no regular human recruits were placed into it. During the war against the Separatists, it was given various vehicles, such as the AT-TE, A6 Juggernaut, and AT-RT. After Order 66, they were equipped with newer equipment, such as the AT-AT, AT-ST, and AT-IC.
