ThelmaTwittleCJE.gif|link= Police Comics #49 (December 1945): When gorgeous Thelma Twittle tells pestering suitors to go jump in a lake, they are somehow compelled to do just that -- even Woozy and Plastic Man. But not crook Zack Daily, who interests Thelma because he seems immune to her charms. Daily realizes Thelma has natural hypnotic powers and manipulates her into unwittingly committing crimes for his benefit. When she realizes this and tries to rebel, he reveals her power is not in her charms but in her voice, and he is deaf (which no one else realizes since he can read lips). But Plas turns Daily's advantage into a disadvantage and rescues Thelma.
