Arthur John Fells (5 July 1862-6 May 1924) was a businessman and local politician. Fells owned a wine and spirit merchant's business with warehouses on Tooley Street and Philpot Lane in Bermondsey. He became a member of Bermondsey Borough Council and was twice mayor. In 1921 he retired from his business, and sold it to his employees as a profit-sharing enterprise. He moved to Kingston upon Thames and was elected to the town council. He was Mayor of Kingston in 1922-23. Some information here [1]] and here [2]
