When Klucz came under attack by the renegade druid Fregenal and his personal army, Koshchey's Men, Mikula sent for help from the druids' circle at Mayena. Whilst waiting for the arrival of aid, he called upon his past military experience to rally a small army of peasants from the villages of Klucz, Kaczan and Porog.
