- Kate Brown appeared in Coronation Street as a Housewife in July 1966. This was one of many television parts she played in the 1960s and 1970s including several roles in Z Cars, and Dixon of Dock Green and well as regular appearances in Now, Take My Wife, The Chinese Puzzle and Last of the Summer Wine and one-off parts in Crossroads, Softly, Softly, Get Some In, Are You Being Served? and Angels. She gave up acting when she moved to the United States of America in 1976 but has since returned to the UK and the profession.
