Tile Street is a Weatherfield street some distance from Coronation Street. Tyrone Dobbs fell off a horse in Tile Street while attempting to propose to Fiz Brown. In the '60s, it was home to a police station. 5 Tile Street was also home to Archie Shuttleworth, who also worked at Shuttleworth's Independent Funeral Directors. In 2015, a large cash converters opened up on the street, much to Barlow's Buys owner Tracy Barlow's annoyance. An internet cafe and a hairdressers owned by 'Old Man Guthrie' also currently operates on Tile Street. Known residents of the street include Nigel.
