The Battle of Wemod was an engagement in the Great Liberation. It was the Golden Empire's first armed incursion into the Xoquon sector, and the first time control of a planet changed hands between the Empire and the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob. In the aftermath of the battle, Wemod joined the Golden Empire and many Minetii volunteered for service in the Armada. Wemod was later retaken by the Tetrarchy when the Empire retreated after the Battle of Hudrel, then re-liberated after the Battle of Tizgo V.

| - The Battle of Wemod was an engagement in the Great Liberation. It was the Golden Empire's first armed incursion into the Xoquon sector, and the first time control of a planet changed hands between the Empire and the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob. Having successfully fended off Tetrarchy incursions at Quadia and Yin, the Empire took the fight to the Tetrarchy based on intelligence gathered by Keltrayu. Wemod was close to the Romasi sector and a logical staging point for Tetrarchy attacks into the Empire's territory. Taking a strike force of fifteen capital ships led by the Sith Star and the Indomitable, the Empire attacked. Tariun Sakaros left actual command of the theater to Keltrayu, taking command of Redblade Squadron himself. Keltrayu successfully directed the fleet, costing the Tetrarchy two battle cruisers before the others withdrew. The Empire took care to announce the assault to the Minetii on the surface, and the natives revolted against the Tetrarchy garrison. Wemod was a weapons foundry world, and many Minetii were able to unlock the codes on their manufactured blaster rifles and employ them against the surprised Tetrarchy soldiers and battle droids. Close to a hundred thousand Minetii rebels were killed or wounded in the battle, but they eventually forced the Tetrarchy's troops into retreat. When Royal landing craft could force their way through the fighter screen of Tetrarchy ships, their eradication of the ground forces was more a mopping-up action than a real battle. In the aftermath of the battle, Wemod joined the Golden Empire and many Minetii volunteered for service in the Armada. Wemod was later retaken by the Tetrarchy when the Empire retreated after the Battle of Hudrel, then re-liberated after the Battle of Tizgo V.
