Austria, officially Königreich Österreich or the Kingdom of Austria is a constitutional monarchy in Central Europe, bordered on the north by West Germany and Czechoslovakia, to the east by Hungary, to the south by the Balkan Confederacy and North Italy and to the west by Switzerland. After being formed in the aftermath of the collapse of the Austria-Hungarian Empire, Austria was a thriving democracy before the Third Global War. However, surrounded by enemies in Italy, Hungary and Germany, the country was dismantled by the three National Socialist dictatorships. After being liberated by French troops, it was re-established as a new Sorelist dictatorship on the border between the allies of the French Empire and the Russian allies of the Juneau Pact.
