Bone crawler are a mutant strain of Zerg made to double as anti-personnel weapons. At first glance, they appear as a cross between centipedes, snakes, and Terran spinal columns. Each segment contains multiple worm-like organisms holding each other together with the same muscle strength as a Hydralisk (Halo: Lekgolo). Alone, Bone crawlers are ferocious as Zerglings. When bonded to a host, they become several times more deadly. If anyone but the one bonded to the Bone crawler tries to use them, they are impaled with several hidden toxic spines (Marvel: Blade).

  • Bone crawler are a mutant strain of Zerg made to double as anti-personnel weapons. Used as a staff, Bone crawlers can bash through most light armors. Thanks to an unknown coating on their carapaces, they can resist most blows from psionic and warp blades (Star Wars: Amphistaff). Should they be broken apart the segments immediately seek out the other pieces to reform stronger than before (Bleach: Zabimaru). The segments can also evolve similar explosive glands used by Banelings to become living incendiary grenades. Even if pieces are lost, Bone crawlers eventually regrow them if the host is willing enough to donate a chunk of their own body (Naruto: Body Absorption). This can be dangerous for beings that lack regenerative abilities making them nearly useless for Terrans and mechanical life forms. * Great damage against light to medium armor * Can parry strikes from psi and warp blades * Can repair pieces if lost * Ineffective against heavy armor, plasma shields, and vehicles * Attacks anything that is not the bonded host * Regeneration requires host to give up health * If bonded host is destroyed, Bone crawler becomes docile and can be claimed by another host * If explosive glands have been evolved, host risks being damaged by explosion
