Their use declined as the Free Republic of Dorvik begun collapsing until they were no longer used for some 140 years prior to the restoration. Over years of usage, the palaces became worn down and elder. The new and revolutionary Communist Party of Dorvik, sent for a renovation of the complex to make it usable again. The renovation took 3 years (2961-2964) and was finally completed. The buildings were completely restored and continue to stand in the Eppen borough of Haldor, which is dedicated to government owned buildings and complexes for governmental use. The buildings were torn down and turned into a park by former President Thorismund von Petrov in 4019 and the head of states new permanent residence was taken up at the Faust Building.
