David Leigh Kerr (25 March 1923 – 12 January 2009) was a general practitioner and Labour Party politician. Born in Croydon, he was educated at Whitgift School and Middlesex Hospital Medical School. In 1946 he set up a general practice in Tooting. In 1956 he joined the Labour Party and served as secretary and vice president of the Socialist Medical Association. In 1958 he was elected to the London County Council as a councillor representing Wandsworth Central. He held the seat until the county council's abolition in 1965. Entry in Who’s Who.

In 1956 he joined the Labour Party and served as secretary and vice president of the Socialist Medical Association. In 1958 he was elected to the London County Council as a councillor representing Wandsworth Central. He held the seat until the county council's abolition in 1965. Following an unsuccessful attempt to gain a seat at Wandsworth, Streatham in the House of Commons at the 1959 general election, he was elected as member of parliament for Wandsworth Central in 1964, retiring from politics at the 1970 general election. He returned to his general practice following his period in parliament, and from 1982 was Chief Executive of Manor House Hospital. He later served as a county councillor in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire retiring from that role in 2001. Entry in Who’s Who.
