William Edward Bann, known as Bill Bann, was a full-back who joined Rovers from Brentford in the summer of 1932. He played just one Football League match for The Pirates, a Division Three (South) game on 19 November 1932 against Newport County. He also managed to make two appearances in the Gloucestershire Cup before leaving to join Aldershot in 1933. He died in London on 16 March 1973, at the age of 70.
