- The Crystal Shard is a powerful bloon Factory unit. They are produced by the Gear Generator. This is counted as a mechanical unit. Not blimp nor bloon. File:Nightcore A.png
- Crystal Shard is the 12th level of Weapon available in Legend of the Red Dragon.
- The Crystal Shards are iridescent, pointed gemstones. They are each primarily turquoise in color, but they also have purple and green areas on them. The Crystal that the shards come from is significantly larger, but has the same overall appearance.
- You can obtain crystal shards as loot or pet-harvest from Pigsies or sometimes from other creatures too, like from Chizzards or Night Chizzards. You can also process 1 block of Tourmaline each into 2 Crystal shards, but mind that Tourmaline is a rather rare find on the Stalactite layer and Lava layer, even though you can loot or pet-harvest it from Warmworms too. Crystal shards are used in potions and for explosive, like (as of R25 in November 2015):
* Health Regeneration Potions,
* Stamina Regeneration Potions,
* Explosive Bombs, or
* Armor-Piercing Bombs

- Crystal Shards are vicious creatures that travel in groups and only resides in cold Shinsoo. They appear inside the Hell Express from the 40th Floor onward. A bigger subspecies also exists: the Big Crystal Shards.
