Hey all, I noticed that attendance at our last meeting was at a pretty dismal low. I'm not going to get into just how I feel about Inquisitors' activity levels and meeting attendance, I would like to address the issue of when our meetings are actually held. Traditionally, with only a few notable recent exceptions, meetings have been held on a Saturday night in North America, which corresponds to a wee-hours Sunday morning in Europe and a Sunday mid-morning in Australia. The last meeting's attendance seems to have taken a hit, at least, because of the Friday night time slot, and as most Inquisitors seem to have agreed in the past for a Saturday/Sunday meeting time, more than one simply assumed the meeting would be on Saturday this past time.

  • Hey all, I noticed that attendance at our last meeting was at a pretty dismal low. I'd like to field the notion that all future Inq meetings be held on Saturday night/Sunday morning, with no exceptions. If whoever is scheduling the meet can't make it the first weekend after a month has passed since the last meeting, they can schedule it for the next weekend. This is something both I and Greyman have done before, and I'm sure others have, as well. It keeps the meetings to their traditional times, and prevents confusion. Naturally, not all Inquisitors will be able to make it every single time. That's alright; doing your job by reviewing articles is simply more important than making the meetings, so no hard feelings if you're not going to be there every time. But in the interest of making this as convenient as possible for some of our more active members, as well as avoiding having people miss simply out of habit, I really think we ought to keep it on Sat/Sun.
