He is reputed as one of the wisest figures of the time era, biting back his ambitions to stay as one of the wealthiest independent rulers of his time. After his death, Masamune's famous nickname became the "One-Eyed Dragon" (独眼竜, Dokuganryū) also used for Li Keyong. His Nobunaga's Ambition counterpart is fourth place in Gamecity's character popularity ranking for 2015.
