- Reactivity is a category of sentience corresponding to a processing rate of around 102 bits/sec (an SQ of 0-10 for a 100 kg being). Reactive beings, known as genetic sentient, store most of their information about the world genetically, as built in instincts and drives, with only limited ability to learn and adapt; much of the long-term learning and storage they do is done evolutionarily over multiple generations of adaptation.
