Hugh John Plaxton (May 16, 1904 – January 12, 1982) was a Canadian ice hockey player who competed in the 1928 Winter Olympics. In 1928 he was a member of the Toronto Varsity Grads, the Canadian team which won the gold medal and also won the Allan Cup in 1927. After the Olympics, Plaxton took four years off to practice law. In 1932-33 he made a comeback for a season with the Montreal Maroons of the NHL.
