The Cholifir family was an Orion clan on the Orion Colony of Dav'ir. They operated as land barons over the agricultural world and had huge estates. They ruled jointly with the Bilat family, but not peacefully — inter-clan rivalry was intense, and verged on open warfare. The Cholifir family burned Bilat fields, assassinated their rhadamanen and hired pirates to steal their shipments, while the Bilats did the same to them. Despite all this, both families displayed incredible cluros to each other, by remaining civil and polite and even inviting each other to their banquets and festivals.
