Setup time is a period of time before every match that allows each team to prepare for the fight. The attacking team is locked in their spawn room while the defending team may roam the map and get into position. On maps in which both teams are attacking, both teams will be locked in their spawn rooms and be let out simultaneously. Setup time lasts for 60 seconds on Assault, Escort, and Hybrid maps, 30 seconds on Control maps, and 10 seconds on Mystery Duel and Elimination maps. During setup time, ultimate abilities will not charge and Torbjörn's Scrap Collector will not generate scrap.
