Steve Stoner (also known as The Stone) was a wrestler who is most known for his time in the World Revolutionary Wrestling Federation. His first venture into contact sports came in the form of rugby where he represented his county up until senior level. He had a temperamental relationship with his coach Ted Turner who questioned his attitude and work ethic. Things came to a head when the two had a scuffle in the changing rooms, which resulted in Stoner breaking Turner's nose, he was subsequently suspended for two months. Escaping being sacked after pleading with Turner to give him another chance. Stoner then became their leading try scorer for the next two seasons.
