Underland is the southernmost landblock on Earth. it is also the coldest, driest and windiest landblock. It is mostly made of land hemmed by ice shelves, both sheathed by a thick ice sheet (which is melting from World Warming). Seals and penguins are found on the outskirts, while moss and other worts grow in Summer. The land is dealt among Silverland, the Banded Folkdom, Chile, Frankrike, Andland, New Zealand and Norway. The B.F.A. and Russland both also have right to land. This leaf is a stub. You can help the Anglish Moot by swelling it.

  • Underland is the version of Wonderland used in the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland and in its sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. It is a nonsensical realm populated by humans, talking animals and plants, and other magical beings with laws of physics that don't always make sense.

Directly beneath the Ruined City of the Giants, however, the earth opened up into a large cave called the Deep Realm and then the the cavern of Father Time. Even further below the solid region, hundreds of feet under Ettinsmoor and the Wild Lands of the North, was a colossal, nation-sized cavern called the "Shallow Lands" because of how largely open the space was. Most of the Shadow Lands supported an underground lake known as the "Sunless Sea," though some sections were dry land, including the southern-most region where the Lady of the Green Kirtle had a palace built for herself. She became the unofficial "queen" of Underland, magically enslaving the inhabiting Earthmen who came from the nation of Bism (lying another six thousand feet below), the land of molten rock. All outlets from Underland to the Overworld lay across the Sunless Sea (except for the tunnel dug by the Earthmen under the spell of the Lady of the Green Kirtle). After the Lady of the Green Kirtle was slain and the curse-freed Earthmen returned to Bism, almost all of the Shallow Lands flooded as a reaction to the broken curse and the queen's death. However, since the other tunnel was conected to Narnia, south of the northern Marshlands, the water receded slightly, and the Sunless Sea was added to the Narnian Empire in which it was the lowest point in the empire's altitude. However when the world had ended, it had completely flooded and became solid ice, in which Father Time along with the cavern creatures awoke and helped destroy the world.

  • A stonemason named Bartholomew of Sandwich led a group of his followers to New York from England, having seen the Underland in a dream. Because he believed that the Earth, above ground, would one day be empty of life, he ordered the building of a city underground. After 50 years of preparation, Sandwich and 800 others went beneath and sealed all but five gates to the Overland. In order for humans to be able to inhabit the Underland, Sandwich needed to have land for them on which to live. The land Sandwich chose was inhabited by the diggers (giant star-nosed moles), who refused to give up their land without a fight. Sandwich realized he could not beat the diggers without sustaining heavy losses himself; therefore he poisoned their water supply, thought to be killing all of them. This land became the site of Regalia.
