It is a far more direct and faithful adaptation, featuring many pieces of dialogue which were either cut or heavily edited for the final version of the show. It still featured many of the Western names for characters. There are two versions which exist: one which uses footage from the first four episodes, and a second, which uses clips from only the first two. The projects feature many comedic and noteworthy moments which were cut from the official release — including the famous "your hair or your life" sequence. Essentially, all scenes which were cut from the first four episodes of Robotech exist in this pilot, which is not the case for any other episode of Robotech. However, because the original raw recordings of these lines are not known to exist, these scenes could not be added back into their respective episodes for Robotech Remastered, making their appearances in this story completely unique.
