When the potential victims get attracted to the school of fish, the Berberoka drowns them by hosing water and swallowing them afterwards. They were compared to the Greek naiads, the nymphs of water elements. They have the ability to suck all the water in a swamp or lake. Also, many old folks believed that they use water to attack their enemies. They discharge a large amount of water to their victims until they drown. * Hydrokinesis; they can manipulate water at their own will. * Underwater Respiration; they can breathe through underwater. * Night Vision: they can see clearly in the dark.

The Berberoka would try to trap its victims by lying on a river and morphing into something bigger to stop the river flow. This would then lead to drying up the land and have fish scattered on the dried river floor. As the humans began to run and pick up the fishes, the Berberoka would then stand up and allow the river to flow again. As the humans are caught into the surging wave and struggled to stay afloat, the Berberoka would then pick them up to eat. Berberokas however have a fear of crabs especially being pinched by it.
