Kara Thrace (8 BBY) is a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a bad pun. Very little is known about her past and the Smuggler refuses to talk about it with anyone, instead evading the question with a witty joke or careful misdirection. She hides her true feelings behind a veil of apathy, making a joke out of everything rather than admitting the truth. She definitely has a rather bizarre way with words and can talk herself out of any situation. If in the case she does not, however, she is a skilled sharpshooter and a gifted brawler but her greatest talent is flying. Her modified YT-1930, the Aurora, has become her home away from home and with Kara behind the pilot's stick the freighter is nigh impossible to catch.
