  • Remote mines are one of three types of mine found in GoldenEye, the other two being Timed Mines and Proximity Mines. Remote mines are arguably more useful than the other types of mines as they can be detonated at any time.
  • The Remote Mines are an explosive weapon that appear in Perfect Dark. The primary mode throws the mine, which will stick to most things, including enemies. Once thrown, the mine can be detonated by either using the secondary mode, shooting the mine, or pressing A + B together, as in Goldeneye. The latter method can be used to easily detonate the mine in midair, which is useful in closer quarters. The mines share their model with the Proximity and Timed Mines
  • The Remote Mine is a weapon found exclusively in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is a remote controlled directional explosive.
  • Remote Mine (リモートマイン Rimōto Main?) is Pirate Man's Special Weapon from Mega Man & Bass. When equipped, the user fires a remote mine that can be controlled by using the D-pad, and can be detonated by the player at any time. The weapon is capable of sticking on enemies and walls. Mega Man and Bass can use only one Remote Mine at time, but Pirate Man can use three Remote Mines in a row. Remote Mines are Ground Man's weakness. The player can prevent Ground Man from going underground by attaching a Remote Mine to him, as it will detonate when he attempts to dig. It can also destroy ice blocks.
  • Appearing in all the TimeSplitters games, the Remote Mine has become a mainstay in the TimeSplitters series. When thrown on a surface, or certain items, it will stick to them and wait for the player to activate them via a remote control. There is a Glitch in TSFP, where, in Arcade Custom, you can rocket the Buggy in Siberia by putting mines on the car. The maximum amount of mines possible in an arena is 30. When "if best" is switched on, the Remote Mine ranks as the joint worst weapon on TS1, on the same level as the Brick and other mines.
  • Remote Mines are one of the gadgets that appear in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction. As the name suggests, remote mines can be placed anywhere and remotely detonated per player's choice. Multiple mines may be set at once, enabling the player to clear multiple areas simultaneously, but they cannot be detonated individually. Remember that once you deploy the first mine, the equipment will switch to the detonator automatically, so switch back to mines if you need to deploy more. Guards will not detect these explosives unless they are hit by one, however the explosion created is quite loud and will attract attention. They share a similar purpose to Proximity Mines, but do not detonate when a target walks by. A remote detonation feature is also present in Sticky Cameras, albeit less power
