It is commonly called The Punt and common names for specific amounts are a: * Bag or Grand (£1000) * Ton (£100), Guin or Guinea (£20) * Tenner (£10) * Fiver, Flim or Taxi Token (£5) * Goldie, Thicker, Mint or Quid (Quid is also used in general - i.e. 50 quid) (£1) * Shill or Shilling (50 Pence) * Crown (25p) * Coppers or Punce (5p,2p,1p) Its usual notation is the prefix £, or H£ where confusion might arise with the pound sterling or other pounds.
