  • Taylor Grant is an American screenwriter, author, independent filmmaker and actor. His fiction has been published in multiple anthologies and magazines, including Box of Delights, A Feast of Frights from The Horror Zine, Horror for Good: A Charitable Anthology (Volume 1), Stories from a Holiday Heart, Terror Tales, and National Lampoon Magazine. He wrote, directed, co-produced and starred in the 2011 psychological thriller The Muse, and also starred in the 2012 short film “Crows” directed by Roy Vongtama. A former military journalist, Grant started his creative writing career working in children’s television, writing scripts and developing stories for Little Rosey, voiced by Rosanne Barr, and Beetlejuice, based on the Tim Burton film of the same name. Grant was one of the original writers hired by Saban Entertainment to develop the hit series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Subsequently, he developed stories and wrote scripts for various Saban-produced TV series, including Bad Dog, Star Strikers, Big Bad Beetleborgs, and Beetleborgs Metallix. Grant continued his relationship with Saban Entertainment by creating the animated series Monster Farm, which he also developed for television. Stan Lee, the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, personally hired Grant as the Head Writer and Executive Editor of Stan Lee Media, where he co-developed several high profile Web series, along with Lee and comic book writer Steve Gerber. Projects Grant co-developed or wrote scripts for include The 7th Portal, The Accuser, The Drifter, and The Backstreet Project, starring The Backstreet Boys. Grant was a prolific music video writer during the late 90s and early 2000s, working with award-winning directors F. Gary Gray and Paul Hunter on music videos for artists such as Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, The Fugees, Diddy, and Warren G. These videos aired regularly on MTV and VH1. As of 2012, Grant is an independent filmmaker, author, script consultant, actor and award-winning advertising copywriter. His directorial debut The Muse, is a psychological thriller also starring Jake Eberle and Sasha Perl-Raver. He has sold, optioned and developed feature film projects for multiple studios and production companies including Imagine Entertainment, Universal Studios, Dreamworks, The Firm, Original Voices, and Lions Gate Entertainment. His latest film is called Sticks and Stones, and aims to bring awareness to the topic of bullying in schools. He co-wrote the film with director Kate Rees Davies; it stars Jennifer Blanc, Abigail Hopkins, and Freya Tingley.
